TODAYS CLASS: HOW TO MAKE CHINCHIN,SAUSAGE ROLLS,PUFF-PUFF AND ETC



CHINCHIN
COMMON IN:Almost everywhere
INGREDIENT:
Make about 2 gallon; 6 cups flour, 2cups butter/margarine, 3 eggs, 1 teaspoons baking power, 1 cup of water, 1 cup of milk(or additional cup of water), 10 tablespoons of sugar.
PROCEDURE:
-Mix all the ingredients togther
-Mix and/or knead the dough until it is smooth
-Place some powder on a cutting board or other flat surface
-Place some dough on the cutting board and flatten it until it is about 1/2 inch and thick (1 1/4)
-Cut the dough into little squares,each square about 1/2inch by 1/2 inch(1 1/4cm by 1 1/4cm).
-Place some oil on the stove on medium heat, and allow the oil to heat up.
-Once the oil is hot, place a few handful of the cut pieces into the oil.(the oil may appear to form...that is all right though rotating with a utensil will tame it a bit).
-Allow the chin-chin to deep fry until brown.
-Some people prefer it light brown and others dark brown.
-Place the fried pieces on a napkin to soak up the extra oil. Eaten as a snack.


SAUSAGE ROLLS
COMMON IN:ALL PLACES
INGREDIENTS:
3Cups flour, 2 eggs,1/2 tablespoon salt, 1/4 pound of butter, 1/2 cup water, 1 egg yolk, sausage pieces.
PROCEDURES:
-Mix the flour, butter,knead the dough, cover the dough and let it rest for about 2 1/2 hours.
-Cook the sausage(or meat) Roll out dough, it should not be too thick.
-Cut rectangular strips of the dough; about 3inches wide.
-Put a piece of sausage at end of the dough strip.
-Roll the dough around the sausage until it is completely covered and cut off that portion of strip.
-Place the sausage rolls on a sheet with a little space in bettween each one and bake in a hot oven for 15minutes.repeat it for another 10minutes.


PUFF-PUFF
COMMON IN:ALL PLACES
INGREDIENTS:2 Cups flour, 2 cups water,1/2 of sugar, 2 tea spoon , yeast, some vegetables oil.
 PROCEDURE:
-Mix the flour, sugar, water and yeast together until the better is smooth.
-Wait until the dough has risen(about 2 1/2 hours).
-Put vegetable oil into a pot and place on fire to hot well.
-Fry for a few minutes until the sides are golden brown.
-Sprinkle more sugar if desired
